Re: Help with scene timing (short code)

In general, there is only supposed to be one scene.Scene in your app. It can be quite tricky to work around this limit but it can be done. You can [`search the forum for "multiscene"`](https://omz-...

Chaining scene.Scenes

I have written many times in this Forum that you can not call scene.run() multiple times but now I have proof that this is NOT true. Multiple scene.Scenes can be chained one after another as shown in the code below which runs 6 scene.Scenes one after...

Re: How to add two shapes

three options... * Put both shapes into ONE scene. * Search this forum for multiscene * Check out chained scenes http://omz-forums.appspot.com/pythonista/post/5876387541942272

Re: Cacti Killer

@techteej, unfortunately I cannot help you (lots of other work), but a small advise: you may try to use scene for drawing the menu. Use something like multiscene to have two scenes for menu and the actual game. And try to split it into several files so it...

Re: What is the proper way to reset a scene?

You might want to look at MultiScene... http://omz-forums.appspot.com/pythonista/post/5293956959043584 The bottom line is that you __can only call scene.run() once__ in your program. MultiScene is the best way around this constraint. [Search the...

Re: Help building a touch menu

It should work if you change your MultiScene class to this: ```python class MultiScene (Scene): def __init__(self, start_scene): self.active_scene = start_scene() def switch_scene(self, new_scene): self.active_scene =...

Re: Help building a touch menu

from scene import * from sound import * from copy import copy from math import modf, floor import time screen_size = Size() class Player (object): # Player object... def __init__(self, name,...

Re: Help building a touch menu

You need to have the menu app and the hockey app use the SAME multiscene. If you are calling scene.run() twice, it will not work.

Re: Help building a touch menu

@tjferry14, I can say nothing but what @ccc said. You should probably use multiscene. But I've never heard of it before, so I can't help you with this. Good luck with it!

Re: Help building a touch menu

You might want to look at the undocumented scene.Button class for detecting clicks in text blocks: http://omz-forums.appspot.com/pythonista/post/6403240845377536 There has been a lot written in this Forum about the inability to run a second scene once...

Re: (Newbie) Calling other programs under Pythonista

One more pointer... @Sebastian contributed a <b>class MultiScene (Scene)</b> which enables multiple scenes to run in a single Pythonista app. This is used in a game that he called an Impossiball Clone. See http://omz-...

I put together a little Space Invaders game, while getting to grips with the Scene module. Thought I'd share it here. Thanks to Sebastian for sharing his Impossiball clone. I found the MultiScene implementation particularly helpful. Enjoy!...
